The President's instructions are already yielding concrete results.

A videoconference meeting was held under the chairmanship of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Chairman of the National Olympic Committee, to discuss elevating physical education and sports to a qualitatively new level, broadening public participation in mass sports, and improving the system for selecting and training athletes. During the meeting, existing problems and shortcomings in the sector were analyzed, priority tasks were identified, and areas for future work by the National Olympic Committee at the mahalla and higher education institution levels were outlined. Additionally, priority objectives were identified: ensuring high-quality participation in upcoming prestigious competitions, increasing the number of licenses won for future Olympic and Paralympic Games, and ensuring high-quality preparation for them. Furthermore, the recently adopted Presidential Resolution "On measures to improve financing mechanisms for sports and expand the involvement of business entities in the industry" was discussed. As part of the implementation of this Resolution, the initiative of UZTEX GROUP CEO Farkhod Mamadzhonov to allocate 10 billion soums in sponsorship funds to the industry was warmly received by the country's Olympic community.
